It comes as a delightful surprise that some of Bangkok’s most charming palaces lie almost unnoticed by the river, right in the midst of the old quarter with its famed tourist attractions dating from the Rattanakosin era, such as the gorgeous Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho and the Temple of Dawn.
